Saffron Acres - Leicester

Saffron Acres is a social housing development in Leicester. Currently there will be 68 homes built, all to Passive House standards. This makes Saffron Acres the largest affordable Passive House scheme in the country. MVHR units must be specified, for the properties to achieve Passive House standards. Airflow's wide range of MVHR units played a key role in Saffron Acres achieving Passive House approval. The wide range enabled each home to have the most suitable unit installed. This meant upfront installation costs were minimised.

The predicted annual heating running costs for the houses will be £13 per home. Comparable homes would cost £734 per year to run.
